The Lavidge Company
Feb 16, 2007
Today I had the distinct opportunity to meet with Stephen Heitz and Ben Smith of The Lavidge Company. The Lavidge Company is one of the largest and most respected advertising agencies in the Phoenix area. Their clients include; The Phoenix Suns, The Arizona Diamond Backs, McDonalds, Realty Executives, Bashas and many more.
Mr. Heitz is the Director of Interactive Development, and Mr. Smith is the Director of Interactive Marketing for The Lavidge Company. I must first say thank you to Stephen and Ben for taking time out of their busy schedules to meet with me. I can not say enough about how welcomed they made me feel. You see, I was at the Lavidge Company offices interviewing for a web designer position, and given the surroundings, I was a little nervous.
The Lavidge Company offices are beautiful. The first time you enter the building you feel like you are in a fun place, which is part of their mantra “be creative, work smart, have fun”. The walls are adorned with highlights of their success, and a huge shelving unit displays their many awards. But the highlight wall piece was the mural in the main hall connecting the three conference rooms, “The Idea Factory” mural created by the company’s creative director Bob Case. It’s a representation of the company’s work-flow process and it is very impressive.
The interview went great, and we will see where this will be headed. I will post more later.
